We know Ms. Right is out there...it's just a matter of finding her.
Now that we've chosen our fertility clinic (ORM - one of the best in the country), the most difficult part of the process is ahead of us, we need to find an angel to carry our baby. We are hoping our story will reach Ms. Right and resonate with her. For those of you reading this who are familiar with surrogacy and becoming a gestational carrier, this will be a bit redundant. And for those who are totally new to the concept, I've listed below the guidelines required to be a surrogate:
Guidelines for being our surrogate.
- Must be a rock star lady :o)
- Between the ages of 21 - 42 (although we'd like to stay between 21 - 38).
- BMI under 32 (Calculate your BMI here, view BMI chart)
- Must have had at least one full term pregnancy, preferably delivered vaginally.
- No more than two c-sections
- Non-smoker (or drinking or drugs...all the "obvious bad stuff")
- Be pro-choice in regards to the surrogacy
Lifestyle & Qualities
- We would like to be closely involved in the entire pregnancy therefore we are looking for a surrogate who is willing to openly share and communicate.
- Our ideal surrogate will lead a healthy and happy life surrounded by loving family and friends.
Our Hopes for the Journey
We are looking to create a lasting relationship with the birth mother of our child. Justin and I are both authentic genuine people. We are both outgoing and enjoy good laugh. The more communication the better as we want to feel like we are there for appointments and precious moments even though we may be in a different state.
